The DoaminTools blog takes a look at some of the generic domain names owned by big companies. It’s an interesting list, and the author’s point that a lot of these companies are letting their domain properties languish is well made. It’s especially unfortunate that the awesome domain Kids.com, owned by CNET, has one of those tacky generic garbage pages that tries to look like a real portal but is full of sponsored links.

So I just came across “The Allnighter” on the Encore channel, and I immediately Googled it. Turns out, it’s pretty handy having the New York Times archives online:
